EI Temporary Measures 2025–2026: Extra Weeks & Waived Waiting Period
The Government of Canada has waived the EI waiting period for all new claims starting between March 30, 2025 and October 10, 2026. Long-tenured workers may also qualify for up to 20 additional weeks of benefits.
